Our history:

On October 22, 1967, six girls met informally to discuss the idea of a new social sorority at Bloomsburg State College. Miss Barbara Loomo, who was asked to be the group's advisor, was also present. The name Chi Sigma Rho was decided upon. The following officers were tentatively elected: Carol Grimm, President; Peggy Walter, Vice President; Sue Magill, Secretary; Anne Fleming, Treasurer; Marilyn Nunchar, Historian; and Joanne Cashman, Parliamentarian. Gray and yellow were proposed as the sorority's colors and the yellow carnation as the flower.

On October 30, 1967, Chi Sigma Rho was approved by the Inter-Fraternity Council as a proposed sorority.
